The Incoming Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting and verifying incoming electromechanical components and materials to ensure they meet quality standards, supporting continuous improvement within the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, test, and verify incoming electromechanical components, subassemblies, and materials for compliance with specifications and quality standards
Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using calibrated tools and test equipment
Review and verify supplier documentation such as Certificates of Conformance, test reports, and material certifications
Conduct sampling inspections following AQL standards
Interpret and review engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, and ECNs
Identify, label, document, and segregate nonconforming materials
Initiate Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) and support Material Review Board (MRB) activities
Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation in ERP and quality systems
Support internal and external audits and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required
2 years of hands-on experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control inspection role within an electronics or electromechanical manufacturing environment
Experience inspecting electronic, electromechanical, or power electronics components and assemblies
Strong understanding of inspection methods, documentation practices, and quality standards
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
Use calibrated measurement tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and electrical test equipment
Strictly adhere to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) procedures when handling sensitive electronic components
Identify, label, document, and segregate nonconforming material
Initiate Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) and support Material Review Board (MRB) activities as required
Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation in ERP and quality systems
Support internal and external audits and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Ability to stand for extended periods
Capability to handle small components and perform repetitive inspection tasks with accuracy and precision
