Job Description
This role involves leading the design, development, testing, and manufacturing of electrical power conversion products, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and customers to deliver innovative solutions that meet performance, cost, and schedule targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, testing, and manufacturing of electrical equipment or products.
- Generate specifications for new R&D products.
- Use analytical tools to conceptualize electrical designs.
- Prepare schematic diagrams and BOM part lists.
- Collaborate with Mechanical and Process Engineers on project teams.
- Create component stress documentation, MTBF, and DFMEA analyses.
- Debug and test prototypes individually or with technicians.
- Develop and execute Design Verification Test procedures.
- Communicate with customers to ensure design alignment with application goals.
- Mentor junior team members in technology, DFM best practices, and work ethics.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least five years of experience in development activities focused on electronic power conversion products, including a proven track record with switch-mode power supply designs.
- Proficiency in design tools such as PSpice and Mathcad.
- Experience in resolving EMC issues and, preferably, in high-frequency magnetic component design and microcontroller circuits for power electronics.
