Job Description
A Senior Electrical Engineer responsible for designing and developing power conversion systems, including transformers and inductors, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring product reliability and compliance for industrial, medical, military, and aerospace applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of low, medium, and high voltage transformers, inductors, power distribution units, and power conversion and control products
- Collaborate with program management and cross-functional teams to meet project and customer requirements
- Generate product specifications for new R&D efforts and customer needs
- Model and analyze electrical designs using tools such as Cadence, Creo, and Rale
- Create manufacturing documentation including schematics, BOMs, assembly drawings, work instructions, and test procedures
- Perform reliability analyses (MTBF, DFMEA) to validate designs and reduce risks
- Develop and execute design verification test (DVT) procedures and support troubleshooting
- Interface with customers to ensure product performance and compliance requirements are met
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in design for manufacturability and engineering excellence
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years in medium or high voltage electrical systems design.
- Proven experience in transformer and power system development.
- Deep understanding of electrical components used in power conversion and transformer applications.
- Familiarity with agency compliance standards UL, CSA, VDE, CE.
