Job Description
A Production Technician specializing in EMI filters responsible for assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance of electronic components in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on safety, precision, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions for electronic circuitry
- Assemble electronic components using hand and power tools
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions in circuitry and system structures
- Collaborate with engineers and team members on technical tasks
- Perform quality checks and document actions to ensure product standards
- Prepare work tasks by gathering parts, assemblies, tools, and materials
- Position parts on PCBs and perform soldering with proficiency
- Test completed components to verify specifications
- Resolve assembly issues through dimensional adjustments and notify supervisors
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment and perform equipment maintenance
Requirements
- A minimum of a high school diploma GED is required.
- An Associate s degree in Electronic Technology or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience troubleshooting and testing electronic components, preferably in RF Tuning.
- Technical proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions to understand and work with electronic circuitry.
- Hands-on assembly skills using hand and power tools to assemble electronic components, ensuring precision and quality.
- Troubleshooting expertise to diagnose and rectify malfunctions in circuitry and system structures.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and fellow professionals on technical tasks.
- Conducting quality checks and meticulously documenting actions by completing quality forms to ensure products meet stringent quality standards.
- Preparation of work tasks by studying parts lists, gathering necessary parts, assemblies, tools, and materials.
- Positioning parts and assemblies on PCBs, utilizing templates, reading measurements, and demonstrating proficiency with a soldering iron.
- Verifying specifications by testing completed components to ensure they meet required standards.
- Resolving assembly issues by making dimensional adjustments as needed and promptly notifying supervisors for additional support.
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures and regulations.
- Performing preventative maintenance on equipment to keep it operational.
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and convey technical information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and data entry.
- Familiarity with electronic test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMM), and other relevant tools.
- Ability to distinguish between different colors, which may be important when working with color-coded components.
