Job Description
The NPI Technician at Astrodyne TDI is responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and assisting in the development of power electronic systems and prototypes, collaborating with engineers to ensure quality and successful transfer to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble power electronic systems and prototypes according to specifications
- Create and implement test plans for prototype EMI Filters and Power Distribution Units (PDUs)
- Collaborate with engineers to identify and resolve developmental issues during first-time builds
- Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on prototype EMI Filters and PDUs
- Transfer final units from prototype to production
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Associate's Degree in Electronic Technology or similar discipline is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience working in electronics.
- Practical understanding of Electrical Engineering concepts.
- Proficiency with electronic test equipment such as Oscilloscopes and Digital Multimeters (DMM).
- Hands-on mechanical experience.
- Ability to assemble power electronic systems and prototypes according to specifications.
- Ability to assist with creating and implementing test plans for prototype EMI Filters and Power Distribution Units (PDUs).
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on prototype EMI Filters and PDUs.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to write comprehensive technical reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
