Job Description
A Manufacturing Engineer at Astrodyne TDI is responsible for improving manufacturing processes, overseeing fabrication and quality standards, innovating new methods, and supporting production efficiency to develop cutting-edge power solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee fabrication processes, tooling, fixtures, gaging, production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards
- Innovate new manufacturing methods using existing or new equipment to ensure repeatability and adherence to customer specifications
- Monitor and audit process and equipment performance, making recommendations for improvements to ensure efficiency and quality
- Work with suppliers and internal teams to determine product specifications, procure and install equipment, and evaluate products against quality standards
- Maintain control of manufacturing systems software, document processes, and train operators and personnel
- Provide technical support across departments and collaborate with product development teams to ensure manufacturability and minimize risks
- Investigate and justify new technologies and methods to meet business needs and improve efficiency
- Analyze process outputs using statistical methods to ensure stability and process excellence
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing processes and engineering roles, preferably with an electromechanical manufacturing background.
- Proficiency in technical project leading and a deep understanding of client needs and project scope.
- Familiarity with ISO9001 standards is preferred.
- The ability to work in a high-paced environment with limited direction and a high level of responsibility to meet objectives.
Benefits & Perks
Salary range: $70,000 - $100,000
