Job Description
The Junior Buyer at Astrodyne TDI is responsible for supporting supply chain operations by procuring materials, managing MRP, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring timely delivery to support production and new product development in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support production, engineering, and new product introduction through material procurement and MRP management
- Negotiate pricing and select vendors for raw materials both nationally and internationally
- Maintain MRP integrity and assist with raw material forecasting
- Analyze material shortages and create purchase orders
- Expedite materials based on customer and production needs
- Lead cost reduction initiatives through price negotiations
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree preferably in Supply Chain Management
- At least two years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within electronics manufacturing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of ERP MRP system
