Job Description
The Electronics Failure Analysis Technician is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and identifying root causes of failure modes in power supplies to improve reliability, documenting findings, and collaborating with teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting of Broad Market Power Supplies
- Identify and determine root causes of failure modes
- Record failure mode information accurately in the database
- Perform tests according to Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP)
- Analyze failure data to identify potential trends
- Write detailed technical failure analysis reports
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Electronic Technology or equivalent minimum
- Demonstrate proficiency in working with electronic test equipment, including Oscilloscopes (O-Scopes), Digital Multimeters (DMMs), etc.
- Ability to collaborate with internal teams to conduct comprehensive testing and troubleshooting of Broad Market Power Supplies
- Ability to pinpoint the true root cause of failure modes through accurate troubleshooting, providing detailed information crucial for reliability improvement
- Ability to stay ahead of the curve by identifying potential trends in failure modes and bringing them to the surface in a timely manner
- Ability to enter failure mode information into database in a clear, concise, and detailed manner, ensuring accurate records for further analysis
- Execute tests as per Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP)
- Ability to write comprehensive and technical failure analysis reports for the customer
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Reliable, aggressive, and a self-starter
- Strong technical ability
- Ability to comprehend new ideas in a timely fashion
- Good communication skills
- Able to work with PCs in order to enter, retrieve, and analyze data
