Job Description
The Head of FP A is a hands-on finance professional responsible for leading financial planning, business modeling, and KPI reporting to support strategic decision-making and operational performance in a clean energy-focused software company.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute the annual budgeting process and in-year rolling 12-month re-forecasting.
- Provide financial analysis including revenue and expense reporting, variance analysis, and budget-to-actual comparisons.
- Maintain financial models for scenario analysis related to revenue growth, headcount, operational efficiencies, and cost improvements.
- Track business performance through weekly dashboard metrics.
- Deliver detailed financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including quarterly board presentations and investor updates.
- Produce and enhance monthly financial reporting packages for management and the Board of Directors.
- Collaborate with G&A functions to provide proactive business support and ad hoc analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 5 years of progressive FP A experience, with demonstrated ability to operate independently as a hands-on, individual contributor
- Experience in a SaaS company
- Expertise in financial modeling and data-driven decision-making, including integrated financial statement modeling
- Proficiency in financial reporting, with a demonstrated ability to forecast cash flow and balance sheet items
- Experience with SaaS business metrics and performance drivers
- Advanced knowledge of financial systems such as Excel, QuickBooks, AI tools, and database management
- Strong project management skills with a proven track record of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial data to senior management and external stakeholders
