Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute complex commercial negotiations for agreements such as EPC, O&M, equipment supply, amendments, and change orders.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contract terms, redlines, and amendments to align with company policies and risk profile.
  • Coordinate internal approvals and stakeholder communication for contract strategies, risks, and decision-making.
  • Maintain contract documentation, version control, and audit trail for all contractual agreements and amendments.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external counterparties, building relationships to facilitate negotiations and issue resolution.
  • Support project financing and investor diligence by providing clear summaries of key contract terms and protections.
  • Support procurement processes by reviewing RFPs, communicating with bidders, and supporting award decisions.
  • Manage post-contract obligations, including renewals, expirations, and terminations, ensuring compliance and timely actions.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience independently managing the contract lifecycle in the construction or renewables sector.
  • Proficiency in contract redlining and version control using Microsoft Word’s Track Changes and document comparison software.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to manage external relationships and represent a company’s interests effectively.
  • Ability to interpret and draft complex contract language with precision, including identifying nuance, intent, and risk implications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Finance, and Engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently drive workstreams, influence outcomes without formal authority, and bring stakeholders to closure on time-sensitive decisions.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities, reassess approaches quickly, and communicate tradeoffs clearly.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
