Job Description
A Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing mechanical and electro-mechanical systems for innovative bioenergy and carbon capture technologies, utilizing CAD, FEM software, and industry standards to create and refine designs, lead testing, and ensure system safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and oversee mechanical and electro-mechanical systems
- Use FEM software, CAD tools, and hand calculations to create and refine designs
- Generate technical drawings for systems and components
- Lead technicians in building and testing mechanical systems
- Apply industry standards like ASME and AISC in design and development
Requirements
- Experience with designing, developing, and overseeing mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in using FEM software, CAD tools, and performing hand calculations to create and refine designs.
- Ability to generate technical drawings related to mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.
- Experience leading skilled technicians in building and testing mechanical systems.
- Experience working with hazardous systems.
- Experience working with control systems.
- Knowledge and experience with industry standards such as ASME and AISC.
