The Tax Manager role involves leading tax planning, compliance, and advisory services for clients in the restaurant, franchise, and hospitality industries within a dynamic, growth-oriented CPA and advisory firm.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee client tax engagements for restaurant, franchise, and hospitality industries.
Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns and related tax filings.
Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients to optimize their tax positions.
Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
Assist in identifying and implementing tax-saving opportunities for clients.
Supervise and mentor junior staff and team members on tax projects.
Requirements
Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in tax within the restaurant, franchise, or hospitality industries.
Have a CPA license or equivalent certification.
Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax laws relevant to the restaurant, franchise, and hospitality sectors.
Experience in managing and reviewing complex tax returns and related compliance for clients in the specified industries.
Ability to analyze and interpret tax regulations and advise clients accordingly.
Proven ability to lead and manage a team of tax professionals effectively.
Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members clearly and professionally.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple client engagements simultaneously.
Experience with tax planning strategies specific to the restaurant, franchise, and hospitality industries.
Willingness to stay current with evolving tax laws and industry trends relevant to the client base.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment and contribute to team success.
Availability to work full-time, including during peak tax seasons as required.
