A Tax Manager in Private Client Services at a leading CPA and advisory firm, responsible for helping high-net-worth individuals optimize their financial opportunities while working within a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee private client tax planning and compliance services for high-net-worth individuals
Develop and implement tax strategies to maximize client opportunities and minimize liabilities
Coordinate with clients to gather financial information and ensure accurate tax filings
Provide guidance on estate, gift, and trust tax matters
Stay current on tax laws and regulations affecting high-net-worth clients and advise accordingly
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Active CPA license or equivalent professional certification.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax planning, compliance, and consulting, specifically with private client services for high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs).
Experience preparing and reviewing complex individual, trust, estate, and gift tax returns.
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws applicable to high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, and related entities.
Proven ability to develop and implement tax strategies tailored to high-net-worth clients.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Effective communication skills to explain complex tax concepts to clients and team members.
Demonstrated leadership skills with experience mentoring junior staff and leading project teams.
Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
Willingness to stay current with evolving tax laws and industry best practices through continuing education.
Physical ability to perform work at a desk, including sitting for extended periods and using a computer.
