Job Description

A Senior Audit Manager in the Financial Services sector at Aprio leads client audits, provides trusted financial insights, and helps clients maximize opportunities while building strong relationships and ensuring seamless, impactful assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee financial statement audits for private and closely-held companies.
  • Provide trusted financial insights to help clients minimize risk and make informed business decisions.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with lenders and stakeholders through effective communication and trusted partnerships.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting or a related financial services environment, with a focus on assurance or audit services.
  • Proven experience working with private and closely-held companies in an assurance or audit capacity.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, auditing standards, and compliance requirements applicable to financial services clients.
  • Ability to provide trusted financial insights that minimize risk and support confident business decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills to ensure clear and effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with lenders and stakeholders.
  • Experience leading or managing audit teams and engagements, including planning, execution, and review of audit procedures.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and the ability to apply them in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Active CPA license or equivalent certification.
  • Physical ability to perform typical office tasks, including sitting for extended periods, using a computer, and attending meetings.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to client sites or other company locations.
