Job Description

The Manager, Assurance Services at Aprio is responsible for leading audit engagements, providing assurance and financial reporting services to private and closely held companies, and ensuring compliance with professional standards while building trusted client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and oversee assurance and audit engagements for private and closely held companies.
  • Ensure compliance with PCAOB standards and professional regulations during audits.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients through clear communication and personalized service.
  • Identify and address financial reporting issues to provide accurate financial statements.
  • Supervise and mentor audit team members to ensure quality and efficiency of work.

Requirements

  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in assurance services, including auditing private and closely held companies.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the assurance and audit process, including building trusted relationships, clear communication, and ensuring efficiency throughout the audit process.
  • Be a registered member of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) and adhere to the highest professional standards.
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide specialized and personalized audit expertise that gives clients and stakeholders confidence and financial insight.
  • Possess strong skills in building and maintaining client relationships and communicating audit findings effectively.
  • Have the ability to work collaboratively with a high-energy, passionate, and ambitious team of professionals.
  • Be capable of managing multiple audit engagements and ensuring compliance with professional standards and firm policies.
  • Possess a relevant educational background, such as a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Have experience in providing assurance services to private and closely held companies, with a focus on financial statement accuracy and risk minimization.
  • Be familiar with the requirements of the PCAOB and the standards for assurance and audit engagements.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth, including supporting CPA certification and related programs.
