Job Description
An Audit Associate at Aprio works with a team of experts to help clients improve financial reporting, internal controls, and evaluate accounting issues, while staying ahead of regulatory changes to support long-term business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients in improving financial reporting capabilities and internal controls
- Evaluate accounting issues and stay updated on new accounting regulations
- Assess the quality of financial information used for strategic decision-making
- Identify areas for operational efficiency improvements
- Work with a team of audit professionals to mitigate financial and business risks
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Have relevant experience working in an audit or accounting role, with a minimum of 1 year preferred.
- Demonstrate knowledge of financial reporting capabilities, internal controls, and accounting issues.
- Stay current with new accounting regulations that could impact long-term business growth.
- Ability to evaluate the quality of financial information used for strategic business decisions.
- Strong understanding of internal controls and financial auditing procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with clients and team members.
- Credentialed as a CPA or actively pursuing CPA certification is preferred.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and contribute to a high-energy, ambitious team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new accounting standards and regulations.
