Job Description
This internship offers hands-on experience in tax and audit services, allowing students to work with diverse clients, develop professional skills, and participate in team projects and social impact initiatives within a dynamic CPA and advisory firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tax services including planning, consulting, and compliance for multiple clients
- Interact with clients to provide tailored tax strategies
- Work with partners to develop and implement innovative tax planning strategies
- Assist in improving financial reporting capabilities and internal controls for audit clients
- Evaluate accounting issues and stay updated on new accounting regulations
- Assess the quality of financial information used for strategic decision-making
- Build relationships with middle to large-sized audit and tax clients
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as an accounting student or high-potential candidate interested in pursuing careers in Audit and Tax, with the intention to participate in the 2027 Spring (January - April) or Summer (June - August) internship programs.
- Ability and willingness to work in the Washington DC Metro area offices.
- Interest in gaining hands-on experience through on-the-job training and real-world accounting projects.
- Ability to work with small, medium, and large clients across various industries and develop a solid general foundation in accounting and tax services.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact closely with clients, provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services, and work closely with partners on delivering tax strategies.
- Ability to work effectively within diverse and energetic teams in both Tax and Audit departments.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning in the accounting field.
- Willingness to participate in group projects involving volunteering and social impact as part of the internship program.
