Job Description
This internship offers hands-on experience in tax and audit services, allowing students to work with diverse clients, develop professional skills, and participate in real-world accounting projects within a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with tax planning, consulting, and compliance services for clients
- Work with partners to develop and deliver innovative tax strategies
- Support audit teams in evaluating financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting issues
- Help assess the quality of information used for strategic business decisions
- Participate in group projects involving volunteering and social impact activities
Requirements
- High-potential accounting students interested in Audit and Tax who want to continue Aprio's standard of excellence and dive straight into hands-on accounting projects.
- Availability to participate in the 2027 Spring Internship (January - April) or Summer Internship (June - August).
- Willingness to work in the San Antonio, Austin, or Dallas, TX office locations.
- Ability to work with small, medium, and large clients across diverse industries.
- Ability to interact closely with clients to provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services.
- Ability to work closely with partners on delivering innovative tax planning strategies.
- Ability to work with and form relationships with middle to large-sized tax clients.
- Ability to work with and form relationships with middle to large-sized audit clients.
- Ability to work with businesses and industry leaders to avoid financial and business risks, improve financial reporting capabilities, evaluate accounting issues, and stay ahead of new accounting regulations.
- Ability to assess the quality of information used for strategic business decisions and identify areas for operational improvements.
- Willingness to participate in a group project involving volunteering and social impact as part of the internship program.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment with diverse and energetic teams.
- Ability to develop a solid general foundation in accounting through on-the-job training and real-world experiences.
