Job Description
A Software Development Engineer in Test specializing in Spatial Intelligence, responsible for ensuring the reliability and robustness of robotic perception, localization, and mapping systems through advanced testing and validation strategies to support autonomous operation in complex environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the reliability, robustness, and correctness of spatial perception, localization, and mapping systems.
- Design and implement replay-based, simulation-based, and dataset-driven validation strategies.
- Strengthen CI/CD pipeline, dataset validation workflows, and replay infrastructure.
- Validate new features rigorously to meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and test automation specialists to improve diagnosability and testing processes.
Requirements
- Experience in designing and implementing replay-based, simulation-based, and dataset-driven validation strategies for robotic systems.
- Expertise in robotic software testing to enable faster iteration, broader regression coverage, and higher confidence in changes to critical systems such as SLAM, state estimation, world modeling, and learned perception components.
- Ability to take full ownership of strengthening CI/CD pipelines, dataset validation workflows, and replay infrastructure.
- Experience working closely with spatial intelligence engineers and test automation specialists.
- Ability to define quality standards, improve diagnosability, and ensure rigorous validation of new features in robotic systems.
- Legal right to live and work in Spain.
- Reside in Barcelona or be open to relocate to Barcelona (not a remote position).
