Job Description
A leadership role for an experienced electrical engineer to oversee the development of next-generation quadruped robots, driving innovative hardware solutions, mentoring a high-performing team, and collaborating across R&D and operations to enhance product robustness, reliability, and performance in industrial robotics.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of electronic systems for next-generation quadruped robots.
- Build and inspire a high-performing electrical engineering team.
- Collaborate with R&D and software teams to evaluate, implement, and test electronic components and systems.
- Support the product development process to ensure quality, cost, and performance standards.
- Drive innovative hardware design and system performance improvements.
- Mentor engineers and foster a collaborative engineering environment.
- Contribute to the design and integration of customized hardware systems including actuators, sensors, and payloads.
Requirements
- Proven experience in electrical engineering with a focus on hardware design and system performance, including the evaluation, implementation, testing, and support of electronic systems.
- Experience in leading and building high-performing engineering teams, including mentoring talented engineers.
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovative solutions in the development of complex electronic systems for robotics applications.
- Strong collaboration skills to work closely with R D experts, software development groups, and operations teams to achieve product development goals, target costs, and quality standards.
- Industrial experience in designing electronics for robotics or related fields, with a focus on robustness, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Experience in developing or working with robotic systems, sensors (such as camera and LIDAR), actuators, and inspection payloads is preferred.
- Ability to influence and improve hardware design and system performance in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
- Educational background in electrical engineering or a related technical field, with a level of experience that demonstrates expertise in hardware development and system integration.
