The Head of System Architecture will lead the design and development of a modular, scalable, and future-proof system architecture for a family of autonomous robots, integrating hardware, software, autonomy, and safety to serve various industrial inspection and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Define and lead the technical blueprint for a family of robots, ensuring scalable, modular, and future-proof system design.
Bridge hardware, software, autonomy, inspection, and safety to create diverse robotic platforms based on a shared central architecture.
Establish and govern a modular system design to enable speed, reusability, and interoperability across robotic variants.
Ensure diverse robotic variants are built on a shared, modular foundation to serve multiple operational design domains.
Integrate robotic platforms with external ecosystems such as fleet management, predictive maintenance, and digital twins.
Requirements
Define and lead the technical blueprint for a family of robots, ensuring a scalable, modular, and future-proof system design.
Bridge hardware, software, autonomy, inspection, and safety to create diverse robotic platforms derived from a shared central architecture.
Establish and govern a modular system design to enable the development of robotic variants across multiple operational design domains (ODDs) such as energy, utilities, oil gas, and heavy industry.
Ensure that all diverse variants of robotic platforms are built on a shared, modular foundation to enable speed, reusability, and interoperability.
Seamlessly integrate robotic platforms with external ecosystems such as fleet management, predictive maintenance, and digital twins.
Possess significant experience in system architecture for autonomous robotic systems, with the ability to define technical blueprints and oversee their implementation.
Have a proven track record of leading the development of complex, scalable, and modular system designs in robotics or related fields.
Possess technical expertise bridging hardware, software, autonomy, inspection, and safety systems in robotics.
Demonstrate the ability to anticipate future business models and technologies to inform system design and architecture.
Have experience working in or designing systems for industrial inspection and operation in challenging environments, with a focus on safety and reliability.
