Job Description
A Senior Engineering Manager at Amperity leads and mentors a high-performing engineering team focused on building scalable data systems and cloud-native infrastructure to deliver customer-centric AI solutions for large-scale data processing and insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and lead a high-performing engineering team to deliver solutions for complex data challenges.
- Mentor engineers to foster an environment of collaboration, psychological safety, and professional growth.
- Design and develop large-scale data systems, cloud-native infrastructure, and full-stack experiences.
- Collaborate with leadership to establish best practices, promote learning, and ensure technology meets customer needs.
- Ingest and process large volumes of data, blending batch and real-time events to create accurate customer profiles.
- Transform research algorithms into reliable, high-scale production systems.
- Enable real-time querying capabilities to surface insights quickly for users.
- Create full-stack, user-friendly experiences across the platform for data engineers and marketers.
Requirements
- 12 years of software development experience, with experience in big data systems, or large-scale distributed systems including hands-on engineering work in the past five years.
- At least 2 or more years of software management experience.
- Experience building empowered, autonomous, psychologically safe teams that improve their own working model.
- Demonstrated experience balancing SaaS expertise with shipping value to customers.
- Leadership experience as the primary owner of complex projects involving coordination in-team and across teams, and between customers, product management, and engineering.
