Job Description
The Senior Director of Engineering for Activation at Amperity leads multiple engineering teams responsible for developing and enhancing customer activation capabilities, focusing on delivering intuitive, high-performance data and user experiences to help marketers connect with their customers effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate multiple engineering teams across geographies and time zones to deliver activation capabilities.
- Shape technical strategy and execution for connecting marketers with customers through the platform.
- Oversee the development of real-time querying capabilities and deep integrations with industry-leading platforms.
- Ensure the delivery of enriched data assets and insights to various systems for client value realization.
- Create intuitive user experiences to help customers produce insights and measure results.
- Build, mentor, and support diverse, inclusive, and high-performing engineering teams.
- Guide organizational learning, continuous improvement, and operational excellence through metrics and processes.
Requirements
- 15 years of engineering experience, including 5 years leading managers of managers.
- Experience leading multiple teams across geographies and time zones, aligning them to a shared vision and measurable goals.
- Experience mentoring managers and individual contributors, and for building diverse, inclusive, and psychologically safe teams.
- Experience overseeing and delivering complex projects and making decisions that shape long-term organizational success.
- Focus on operational excellence, with the ability to establish and champion group-wide metrics and processes that improve organizational health.
- Technical credibility across domains such as query systems and connectors, with the ability to contribute to strategy while empowering teams to manage execution.
- Experience recruiting and retaining top talent, and leading organizations through evolving priorities and complex dependencies.
