Job Description
The Director of Machine Learning at Amperity leads the development and deployment of scalable machine learning systems that enhance customer data intelligence and personalization, collaborating across teams to innovate and optimize AI-driven customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development, deployment, and optimization of machine learning systems for customer data intelligence and personalization.
- Guide innovation across the ML platform, scaling from applied research to production deployment.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to define and execute the ML capability roadmap.
- Design, build, and productionize ML models for entity resolution, predictive modeling, personalization, and customer intelligence.
- Establish best practices for experimentation, model evaluation, and continuous improvement of deployed models.
- Ensure MLOps excellence by maintaining model reliability, reproducibility, and maintainability.
- Collaborate on delivering new ML-driven features to enhance customer experience and outcomes.
- Develop and mentor a team of engineers and ML practitioners, fostering a culture of innovation and curiosity.
Requirements
- 15 years of experience in data science or machine learning, including the integration of data science capabilities into a scalable customer-centric product experience.
- Experience mentoring other data scientists to achieve high levels of success, or previous management experience leading teams.
- Deep understanding and demonstrated experience with data science tools, including Python, SQL, PySpark, scikit-learn, and cloud platforms of AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud.
- Experience in defining and building KPIs that measure business and product outcomes, and providing updates to senior leadership on a regular cadence.
- Experience translating data science initiatives into revenue opportunities for C-suite executives.
- Advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
