Job Description

The Enterprise Account Director Europe is a client-facing role responsible for managing and developing high-value, complex utility partnerships across Europe, acting as the senior lead for key accounts within Amber's energy automation and technology licensing business to drive growth and strategic collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead key utility partner accounts of high complexity and commercial significance in Europe.
  • Serve as the senior day-to-day lead for client relationships, coordinating with multiple stakeholders including delivery teams and C-suite executives.
  • Develop and maintain long-term strategic partnerships with major European utilities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure successful implementation and licensing of energy technology solutions.
  • Represent Amber in client meetings, negotiations, and relationship-building activities to support business expansion in Europe.

Requirements

  • Own the most important client relationships in the European business as the senior day-to-day lead of key utility partner accounts, managing partnerships of high complexity and commercial significance with major European utilities that span 25 or more stakeholders, from delivery teams to C-suite executives, often measured over years rather than months.
  • Be ideally based in the UK or a strong candidate located anywhere in Western Europe, with full working rights in the UK or EU.
  • Work predominantly remotely with flexible working hours, including core hours of 7am - 10am, Monday to Wednesday, occasional Thursday London time, and the ability to shape work schedule outside of core hours.
  • Travel to the company's London co-working hub for the first 2 weeks of onboarding, then ideally once per week if EU based, with potential opportunities to travel to Australia 1-2 times per year for company-wide events.
  • Have experience in client-facing roles, particularly managing high-stakes, complex client relationships over multiple years.
  • Possess strong communication skills to effectively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including delivery teams and C-suite executives, within large utility organizations.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently in a remote environment, managing multiple complex accounts with minimal supervision.
  • Have experience or familiarity with energy markets, energy technology, or utility operations (implied by the role's focus on energy utilities and technology licensing).

Benefits & Perks

Flexible working hours with core hours from 7am to 10am, Monday to Wednesday, occasional Thursday, London time
Remote work flexibility with arrangements to suit work-life balance
Travel opportunities to Australia 1-2 times per year for company events
Potential travel to the UK/EU for onboarding and regular visits to a London co-working hub
