Job Description

Alarm.com, a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial technology company, seeks a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to join our talented international team working from Bogota.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide valuable ongoing product support and training to partners via webinars and on-site. • Champion and advocate for partner requirements by gathering feedback from the field on how we can improve our product and processes. • Represent Alarm.com at various trade shows and events. • Demonstrate in-depth and current understanding of all existing and new Alarm.com product release features to respond to partner inquiries properly. • Creating training materials like presentations, technical guides, and videos to facilitate the ongoing training process for partners. • Conducting local and remote tests for new features in close cooperation with Product Managers and Quality Engineers. • Drive the adoption of key tools that have an impact on the business operation of partners. • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• BA or BS, Engineering, Math, or sciences preferred • The ability to communicate in English with vendors and internal teams, both in writing and verbally, in a clear, professional manner. • Other languages are a plus. • A self-starter who can operate independently. • Proficiency and up-to-date knowledge of consumer, cloud, and IoT technology. • Strong people skills; natural customer service orientation and disposition. Candidate must enjoy working with clients and supporting internal customers in the organization. • Excellent problem-solving skills. • The ability and commitment to meet deadlines, even during high-volume periods. • Flexible and positive attitude that fosters team spirit. • Availability to travel up to 65% within the LATAM region. • Experience with the following is a plus: Intrusion detection systems, access control, home automation, or video over IP. • Must work from the Bogota office (Parque de la 93) at least 3 days per week when not traveling.
