Job Description
An entry-level Assistant Engineer responsible for performing hands-on hardware system testing, including executing test procedures, operating test equipment, recording data, and reporting defects to ensure product quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on testing of hardware systems and components following established procedures
- Set up, configure, and operate test equipment and instruments
- Record, organize, and report test data and findings
- Identify and report visual, mechanical, or electrical defects during testing
- Assist in troubleshooting hardware and assembly issues during tests
- Maintain safety, cleanliness, and organization of testing areas
- Follow calibration and safety protocols for testing equipment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering
- 0 to 2 years of experience in hardware product system testing, electronics testing, or laboratory work
- Familiarity with basic electrical and mechanical measurement tools
- Ability to follow technical instructions with precision
- Basic understanding of hardware systems and components
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data recording
- Good observation and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in various application software such as Excel and PowerPoint for effective communication with stakeholders
- Professional written, verbal, and presentation skills in English and Chinese with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders
- Perform hands-on testing of hardware systems and components under the guidance of senior engineers
- Execute hardware product and system tests according to written procedures and instructions
- Prepare, configure, and operate test equipment, fixtures, and instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and torque tools
- Collect, record, and organize test data in specified formats
- Report visual, mechanical, or electrical defects observed during testing to supervising engineers
- Assist in troubleshooting assembly and hardware issues during test execution
- Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and organization of laboratory or workshop test areas
- Follow calibration requirements and safe handling procedures for all equipment
- Comply with Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards
