Job Description
A versatile Staff Software Engineer role focused on developing and mentoring in smart home technology, video analytics, and large-scale data processing across multiple platforms, with opportunities to lead projects and collaborate with a high-achieving team.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and develop projects across various technology domains from design to deployment.
- Mentor and collaborate with junior engineers to foster team growth.
- Research, evaluate, and apply new technologies and methodologies to solve complex problems.
- Develop full-stack software for multiple platforms and technologies.
- Engage in the entire project lifecycle, including requirements development and deployment.
- Exercise good judgment to balance quick development with robust solutions considering multiple use cases.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 8 years of professional software development experience
- Experience leading and/or mentoring other engineers
- Expert object-oriented programming skills
- Significant database design and development experience
- Knowledge of networking concepts, principles, and technologies
- Experience working with hardware and device development (major plus)
