Job Description

The Manager, Supply Chain Planning at Alarm.com is responsible for leading and developing the supply chain planning team, overseeing demand and supply planning, managing supplier relationships, and driving process improvements to optimize hardware operations and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain planning team, setting priorities and goals.
  • Oversee supply demand planning, product transitions, and supplier management across multiple product lines.
  • Review and approve replenishment plans, demand analysis, and purchase requirements to optimize SKU availability and inventory turns.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, data integrity, and responsiveness.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts with departments such as Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, and Finance for product launches and transitions.
  • Engage with executive leadership by providing insights into inventory positions and supply chain decisions.
  • Manage escalations and resolve complex supply chain issues, supporting team problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Develop and report operational KPIs, performance metrics, and strategic dashboards for leadership review.
  • Evaluate and lead the implementation of new supply chain technologies and tools to improve team efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 6 years of experience in supply chain management, category management, or procurement, with increasing leadership responsibility.
  • Proven track record in supply chain activities, critical problem solving, and continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change.
  • Experience with supply chain planning and business intelligence tools such as PowerBI and MicroStrategy.
  • Availability to occasionally work outside of standard business hours with overseas suppliers.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time with some international travel.
  • Collaborative leader with a positive attitude and high degree of flexibility.
