Job Description
The Manager, HRIS is a technical leadership role responsible for managing and optimizing Alarm.com's HR technology systems, primarily Workday, while leading a team of HRIS specialists. The position involves system configuration, integrations, reporting, and implementing AI-enabled HR solutions to improve efficiency and data quality within a fast-growing, technology-driven organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and configure Alarm.com's HR technology ecosystem, including Workday and related systems
- Lead system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and automation initiatives
- Troubleshoot HRIS issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure system stability and data integrity
- Oversee day-to-day HRIS operations, including releases, support, and compliance
- Develop and enforce system governance standards, documentation, and change management practices
- Lead and mentor senior HRIS specialists, setting priorities and ensuring quality work
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT to translate business needs into HR system solutions
- Evaluate and implement AI-enabled HR system capabilities, ensuring ethical and secure use
- Support organizational growth through HR system support during changes and acquisitions
Requirements
- 8-12 years of progressive HRIS or enterprise systems experience
- 3-5 years leading HRIS professionals or technical specialists
- Experience supporting organizations with 2,000 employees, preferably in a technology environment
- Hands on experience with Workday Core HCM preferred
- Familiarity with AI-enabled HR system capabilities, data modeling, or intelligent automation concepts
- Working knowledge of Workday Security, Business Process Framework, and Reporting
- Experience supporting HR system integrations and data loads
- Understanding of downstream systems including Payroll, Benefits, ATS, and Finance
- Strong data management, audit, and access control skills
- Proven working manager who leads through hands on execution
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to data accuracy and usability
- Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, HR, Business, or related field
- Workday certifications preferred
