Job Description

The Facilities Associate supports the daily operation, maintenance, and security of company facilities within an alarm and security systems environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support daily facilities operations, including inspections, preventative maintenance, and workspace setup
Assist with the maintenance and coordination of building systems such as alarms, access control, CCTV, and monitoring equipment (in partnership with vendors and internal teams)
Respond to facilities service requests and troubleshoot basic building issues (lighting, furniture, minor repairs)
Coordinate with external vendors for repairs, maintenance, and inspections
Assist with office moves, desk setups, and equipment relocations
Help ensure compliance with safety and security standards, including fire alarms, emergency equipment, and access badge systems
Maintain accurate documentation for maintenance activities, inspections, and service requests
Track inventory of facilities supplies, tools, and equipment
Support emergency or after-hours facilities issues as needed
Maintain organized storage, workspaces, and facilities areas
Other duties as assigned

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or training in facilities, construction, electronics, or a related field is a plus
Some experience or demonstrated aptitude in facilities, maintenance, security systems, or related environments
Working knowledge of or interest in building systems, alarms, and physical security infrastructure
Ability to safely use hand tools and basic maintenance equipment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Reliable, proactive, and team-oriented
Ability to lift up to [40–50] lbs and perform physical tasks
Basic computer skills, including email and work order or ticketing systems
Experience with alarm systems, access control, CCTV, or low-voltage systems
Familiarity with vendor coordination and service scheduling
OSHA or safety training (or willingness to obtain)
Strong communication and customer-service skills
