Job Description
Aeva is seeking a senior Staff Optical Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of advanced optical components and systems for their innovative LiDAR technology, supporting autonomous and perception applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and validation of advanced optical sub-components and systems for LiDAR technology
- Set technical direction for optical engineering projects
- Mentor junior optical engineers and team members
- Influence architectural decisions across multiple programs
Requirements
- Experience in designing, developing, and validating advanced optical sub-components and systems, specifically related to coherent LiDAR technology
- Ability to lead the design, development, and validation of optical components and systems
- Experience in setting technical direction for optical engineering projects
- Experience mentoring junior engineers in optical engineering
- Influence architectural decisions across multiple programs related to optical systems
- Highly innovative approach to optical engineering in the context of LiDAR technology
