Job Description
A Process Engineer in photonics and optical manufacturing responsible for coordinating assembly operations, developing process controls, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure quality, cost, and reliability for advanced photonics products.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with hardware engineering and contract manufacturing to ensure assembly operations meet quality, delivery, cost, and reliability targets.
- Develop and implement statistical process controls, manufacturing execution systems (MES), DFM, and SOPs.
- Optimize manufacturing processes from NPI to mass production ramp.
Requirements
- Experience in photonics and optical manufacturing processes, including eutectic epoxy die attach, hermatic seam seal, wire bonding, and optical alignment.
- Ability to coordinate with hardware engineering and contract manufacturing to ensure assembly operation execution for NPI and mass production.
- Proficiency in developing statistical process controls, manufacturing execution system (MES), Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Experience in process optimization from New Product Introduction (NPI) to manufacturing ramp.
- Understanding of ensuring product quality, delivery, cost, and reliability targets in manufacturing processes.
