Job Description

The Program Manager will oversee the design, delivery, and community building of the Fellows Program in Colombia, managing operations, facilitating training sessions, and fostering an inclusive environment to develop social leaders committed to positive change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end operations of the Fellows Program in Colombia, including budgeting, recruitment, and facilitation.
  • Lead the design, adaptation, and delivery of the curriculum for in-person and virtual training modules.
  • Oversee the selection process, including outreach, evaluation, and organizing the Selection Conference.
  • Facilitate program sessions and support facilitators in delivering content effectively.
  • Build and nurture a strong community among Fellows through cohort-building activities and ongoing engagement.
  • Develop and implement systems to monitor, evaluate, and report on program impact and participant development.
  • Manage and develop a team of Analysts and Associates, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
  • Coordinate with global and regional teams to ensure program quality, alignment, and contextual relevance.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with alumni, stakeholders, and community networks to support program goals.
  • Support participants' leadership growth and ensure inclusive, culturally responsive facilitation and community practices.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in Program management, facilitation and operations user experience leadership development.
  • Proven experience managing budgets, teams, and complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Relevant experience in soft skills training, adult learning, facilitation online and in-person, and leadership development.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and localize curriculum collaboratively, within global boundaries.
  • Strong understanding of Colombia’s socio-political realities and a commitment to social change.
  • Experience designing and executing public events, online and in person.
  • Ability to work and deliver projects independently, proactively and under pressure.
  • Experience working in or with the social enterprise, peacebuilding, or poverty alleviation sectors is preferred.
  • Familiarity with user experience design and/or customer service principles.
  • Experience leading and managing teams, structuring workflows, assigning and prioritizing tasks, tracking results, and maintaining team morale.
  • Comfortable executing independently when needed and managing stakeholders collaboratively.
  • Coaching skills with a willingness to give and receive feedback and hold courageous conversations.
  • Ability to anticipate operational needs, identify gaps, and create systems to improve effectiveness.
  • Skilled facilitator with experience in adaptive or experiential learning methods.
  • Comfortable leading group sessions, moderating discussions, and managing group dynamics in diverse settings.
  • Clear, compelling written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English; Spanish is the primary working language.
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to inform decision-making.
  • Deep self-awareness and understanding of one's own positionality and its impact.
  • Proven experience working with diversity, equity, and inclusion practices and applying them to operations and facilitation processes.
  • Strong alignment with Acumen’s values, with a commitment to social impact and peacebuilding.
