Job Description
The R&D Test Engineer will lead the testing and de-risking of advanced HTS magnet technology, collaborating with physicists and manufacturing experts to develop methodologies and conduct root cause analysis. This role requires flexibility and cross-disciplinary teamwork to execute tests and drive continuous improvement in the pursuit of making fusion energy a reality.
Responsibilities
- •Lead the testing and de-risking of HTS magnet technology
- •Develop methodologies in collaboration with magnet physicists
- •Conduct root cause analysis with manufacturing experts
- •Integrate and operate complex test stands
- •Refine testing procedures and drive continuous improvement
Requirements
- •Experience as a Test Engineer, specifically in leading the testing and de-risking of HTS magnet technology.
- •Ability to develop methodologies in collaboration with magnet physicists.
- •Experience conducting root cause analysis alongside manufacturing experts.
- •Experience working with complex new materials.
- •Demonstrated flexibility and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
- •Ability to execute tests on tight timelines.
- •Experience in leading the integration and operation of complex test stands.
- •Experience in refining procedures and driving continuous improvement.
