Job Description

The role involves supporting the Security Compliance teams at Alarm.com by managing large-scale security and compliance initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring adherence to security standards and policies. The candidate will be responsible for program management, project planning, and driving process improvements within the security compliance framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on the analysis, development, implementation, and completion of medium and large-scale projects in Cloud IT infrastructure and Enterprise Security Platforms.
  • Take ownership of security and compliance responsibilities, including developing frameworks, reviewing policies, and ensuring adherence to standards.
  • Act as the primary program liaison between Cloud and Engineering teams and various stakeholders to ensure alignment of secure design principles.
  • Establish reporting methodologies and advise on the development of security and compliance-centric KPIs.
  • Lead program status reviews and prepare regular stakeholder and executive communications.
  • Develop and maintain systems to manage documentation related to security policies and compliance initiatives.
  • Convey security and compliance-related risks and conduct risk assessments for infrastructure initiatives.
  • Ensure effective implementation of security and compliance objectives across teams.
  • Propose and implement process improvements associated with security compliance and risk management.
  • Manage change effectively and foster a culture of security risk awareness and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or business-related programs.
  • 1-3 years experience in Program Management specifically relating to Security and Compliance.
  • Working knowledge and experience managing technology and IT infrastructure initiatives.
  • Understanding of cloud technologies AWS, Azure, GCP and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Experience driving cross-functional projects and interfacing with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Adept in managing projects, teams, and processes including change control, monitoring, and capacity planning.
  • Ability to handle multiple complex tasks across multiple engineering teams and projects.
  • Experience establishing and operating program management frameworks and KPIs such as Agile and OKRs.
  • Knowledge of collecting and using data to influence strategy and programs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to turn around time-sensitive communications in short order.
  • Critical to the success of this position is the ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Atlassian productivity suite.
  • Understanding of IT General Controls (ITGC) and compliance frameworks such as ISO27001, SOX, SOC, etc.
  • Advanced Technical Writing skills.
