Job Description
The Associate role in Investor Relations and Corporate Development at Samsara involves analyzing financial information, managing relationships with investors and analysts, and supporting corporate development efforts, including mergers and acquisitions. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication to help shape the company's narrative and strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze business and financial information to inform narratives for investors and analysts.
- Support corporate development M&A and investment deal processes, including sourcing, qualification, financial analyses, due diligence, and integration planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information related to quarterly financial performance and ensure accuracy of figures.
- Monitor and summarize industry trends and peer commentary by tracking sell-side research and financial news.
- Establish understanding of industry trends, market participants, and competitive dynamics in physical operations and enterprise software markets.
- Champion and embed Samsara's cultural principles as the company scales globally.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in investment banking, equity research, or strategic finance.
- Strong familiarity with financial modeling and valuation.
- Bias-to-action and hands-on experience delivering business results.
- Self-motivated with a history of taking on expanding roles.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Strategic Finance, FP&A, Legal, Comms, and Marketing teams.
- Excellent communication skills, must be comfortable presenting to investors and analysts.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Flexibility to travel as needed.
