Job Description
The role involves working as a full stack engineer on the Smart Trailer and Connected Equipment team at Samsara, focusing on developing end-to-end solutions for managing trailers and unpowered equipment using IoT technology. The position requires delivering scalable software, firmware, and hardware solutions that enhance operational efficiency and safety in various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end solutions for tracking equipment utilization and monitoring loads and temperature.
- Partner with the Engineering Manager to ensure long-term technical health of products.
- Mentor other engineers through design and implementation discussions.
- Champion and embed Samsara's cultural principles in team practices.
- Engage in customer interviews and collaborate with customer success and product managers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of relevant industry experience in software development.
- Strong programming coding fundamentals with proficiency in at least one of the following: Go, GraphQL, TypeScript, React.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage technical discussions.
