Job Description
The Product Engineer will design and test new features for the ArcGIS Online team, focusing on API development and usability enhancements. This role involves collaborating with front-end developers, maintaining REST API documentation, and implementing automation testing to ensure product quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the front-end development team to design, define, and optimize APIs.
- Author and maintain REST API documentation, including sample code and guidelines.
- Develop and implement automation testing by creating automated test scripts.
- Manage software quality issues by addressing and resolving reported bugs.
- Advocate for users in product design and delivery by incorporating feedback.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience working in a similar role and scripting skills in Python, JavaScript, or Java
- Experience with ArcGIS software or other geospatial technology
- Experience with cloud computing platforms and services, such as Amazon S3, SQS, EC2, and Azure
- Intermediate understanding of web services, including SOAP and REST
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, including strong written, verbal, and presentation abilities
- Proven ability to deliver results within time constraints, both independently and in teams
- Effective organizational, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies in a dynamic environment
- Bachelor's in GIS, computer science, or a related field

Compensation range: 76,960 - 128,544 USD
