Job Description
Esri is looking for a GIS engineer to develop and manage geospatial data layers, maps, and content for the ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World, ensuring high-quality deliverables for various stakeholders. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize map services and enhance data quality while focusing on innovative content creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Living Atlas team to manage and maintain maps, layers, and data
- Work with subject matter experts to define the needs and objectives of information products
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes for map services, web maps, and feature layers
- Perform quality assurance on data deliverables and continuously improve QA processes
- Create and maintain project plans, documentation, and track progress
- Test, deploy, and support the Living Atlas web layers, maps, and application products
- Curate and audit high-profile Living Atlas nominations, working with contributors to enhance data quality
Requirements
- 2 years of professional experience working with ArcGIS Pro and Online.
- Experience publishing feature layers and maps in ArcGIS Online or Enterprise.
- Bachelor's in geography, cartography, or GIS-related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication along with in-person collaboration skills.
- Ability to design workflows and track progress and decisions accurately and efficiently.

Compensation range: 68,640 - 106,080 USD
