Job Description
The position involves developing advanced raster analytics tools for the ArcGIS Spatial Analyst, mentoring team members, and enhancing GIS applications to solve geographic challenges using modern computational techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop state-of-the-art raster analytics
- Define future goals for the spatial analyst team
- Mentor and interact with team members
- Grow the team by hiring outstanding developer talent
- Develop and maintain tools in GIS application areas
- Envision and develop new GIS tools
- Improve scalability and performance using modern architectures
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in C++, C#, or Java.
- Experience with scientific computation, modeling, raster, or imagery analysis.
- Experience with parallel, distributed, and GPU computation.
- Understanding of the interaction between desktop, server, and online cloud-based analysis.
- Familiarity with REST, web services, and Kubernetes.
- Bachelor's degree in applied mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering, or computer science.
