Job Description
The Jewelry CAD Designer at VRAI is responsible for creating fine jewelry designs using Rhino, maintaining the 3D model library, and collaborating with product development and production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet aesthetic goals. This contract role requires expertise in fine jewelry engineering and a proven track record in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Create fine jewelry products in Rhino
- Maintain the 3D model library
- Execute designs that enhance existing fine jewelry collection
- Create new custom designs
- Ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing
- Meet functional and aesthetic objectives
- Collaborate with product development, quality, and production teams
Requirements
- Proven track record in creating CADs within the fine jewelry industry.
- Deep understanding of fine jewelry engineering, stone setting, manufacturing, and industry trends.
- Ability to create fine jewelry products in Rhino.
- Experience in maintaining a 3D model library.
- Ability to work 30-40 hours per week in a contract role.
- Capability to ensure designs have the feasibility of manufacturing and meet all functional and aesthetic objectives.
