Key Responsibilities
Provides enterprise-level leadership and strategic direction for the Fleet Overhaul Management organization, with accountability for the governance, prioritization, investment strategy, and performance of a $500M+ generation fleet overhaul and outage portfolio. Leads multiple Regional Managers and enterprise support functions, establishing the operating model, decision rights, standards, and performance expectations under which regional teams plan and execute outages and overhauls.
Serves as the enterprise owner of fleet overhaul and outage strategy. Makes and recommends portfolio-level tradeoffs across assets, regions, funding categories, workforce capacity, contractor resources, generation availability, and risk. Translates corporate and Generation strategy into a multi-year fleet portfolio that integrates Operations & Maintenance and Capital investments, advances reliability and availability objectives, and optimizes asset value and lifecycle cost.
Provides executive oversight of the company's most complex and consequential outage, modernization, and reliability programs, including projects exceeding $50 million. Establishes escalation thresholds and intervenes when portfolio-level safety, operational, financial, regulatory, commercial, or reputational risks require enterprise decisions or executive alignment.
Acts as the senior advisor and primary enterprise interface to Generation leadership, Asset Management, Operations, Engineering, Commercial Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and other business leaders on fleet outage strategy, investment priorities, resource constraints, portfolio risk, and long-term asset performance. Builds leadership capability, succession depth, and consistent accountability across the regional overhaul organization.
Own the enterprise Fleet Overhaul Management strategy, operating model, governance structure, and multi-year roadmap, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, generation strategy, regulatory commitments, reliability requirements, and financial plans.
Lead through multiple Regional Managers, setting enterprise priorities, clarifying decision rights, establishing accountability, and evaluating regional and portfolio performance rather than directly managing day-to-day outage execution.
Own portfolio-level prioritization and investment optimization across the generation fleet, resolving competing asset, regional, schedule, funding, workforce, contractor, and operational needs.
Establish the enterprise governance cadence for portfolio review, investment decisions, risk escalation, performance intervention, and executive decision-making.
Approve and sponsor multi-year fleet outage strategies and integrated O&M and Capital plans that optimize generation availability, asset lifecycle value, labor and contractor capacity, supply chain readiness, and capital effectiveness.
Provide executive sponsorship and oversight for major overhauls, modernization programs, and strategic outage investments, with direct involvement focused on enterprise risk, critical decision points, and recovery of materially off-plan initiatives.
Set fleet-wide policies, standards, controls, metrics, and performance expectations for outage readiness, execution, startup, closeout, risk management, cost and schedule performance, and continuous improvement.
Hold Regional Managers accountable for safe, predictable, and financially disciplined execution, using portfolio data and business reviews to identify systemic risks, direct corrective action, and scale proven practices across regions.
Lead executive-level alignment among Operations, Engineering, Asset Management, Commercial Operations, Finance, Environmental Services, Supply Chain, Transmission, Distribution, Gas, and other partners when decisions affect enterprise priorities or fleet outcomes.
Serve as the executive owner for outage management capabilities, systems, analytics, digital tools, and process transformation, including approval of enterprise requirements, investment priorities, and adoption expectations.
Own enterprise portfolio outcomes, including safety, generation availability, outage duration, schedule adherence, cost and forecast performance, capital efficiency, risk exposure, contractor strategy, and key fleet reliability measures.
Anticipate long-term capability and capacity needs and shape organization design, workforce strategy, contractor models, and leadership succession to support the future generation portfolio.
Represent Fleet Overhaul Management in executive governance, business planning, regulatory or audit discussions, and enterprise performance reviews, communicating portfolio risks, decisions, commitments, and results.
Develop Regional Managers and senior leaders, strengthen succession depth, and foster a culture of safety, accountability, enterprise thinking, collaboration, disciplined decision-making, and continuous improvement.
Maintain an uncompromising commitment to personnel, environmental, and equipment safety.
Minimum of 25% travel required.
