Requirements
- Reviews contractor projections and schedules for workforce, material, and equipment requirements.
- Interpret electrical design drawings, single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, conduit and cable routing drawings, and instrumentation loop diagrams, materials, and equipment requirements.
- Coordinates the construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules.
- Enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management.
- Supports Construction Electrical Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
- Maintain project document control and ensure all work activities are executed using the latest versions of relevant documents.
- Work with the discipline superintendents to ensure detailed, integrated installation plans for complex, cross discipline installations are completed and followed.
- Work with Area superintendent to ensure that quantities are reported, verified and submitted for all commodities each week.
- Provide oversight with the development and implementation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITP’s).
- Work with quality control and inspection oversight personnel ensuring proper inspections are completed and associated documentation is generated.
- Ensure that all project quality requirements are understood and adhered to by all contractors.
- Liaise with the project engineers and the design engineering group and provide support to resolve design and constructability issues.
- Work with supervision to perform front-end work package scoping reviews and approvals.
- Work with project controls group to review and validate change request and work estimates.
- Ensure development and accuracy of construction progress reports and quantity forecasts by contractors.
- Review and oversee that contractors complete required material requisitions to ensure that material deliveries support scheduled activities and complete material receipt inspections.
- Assist in the preparation and updating of construction schedules.
- Ensure contractors thoroughly prepare the applicable as-built documents and inspections required by the contract.
- Oversee the contractors performing system / area turnovers.
- Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or Construction, Nuclear, or a related engineering discipline. Verifiable experience in lieu of degree.
- Experience in heavy construction or nuclear engineering, with demonstrated field experience in electrical construction.
- Working knowledge of electrical construction, power distribution and instrumentation installation, nuclear facility requirements, Department of Energy (DOE) orders, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), or commercial nuclear standards.
- Solid communication, organizational, and risk-management skills, with the ability to interpret electrical engineering plans, single-line diagrams, loop diagrams, and specifications with limited guidance.
- Ability to travel and relocate as needed.
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative.

- Experience with P6 or equivalent schedule software preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software preferred.
- Strong proficiency in use of MS suite.
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet physical demands:
- When working on an active construction site, may work in rough or uneven terrain.
- Frequent walking, standing, and sitting.
- Occasional climbing, bending, & crouching.
- Occasional lifting up to ~25 pounds.
