Job Description
The Water Distribution O M Technician is responsible for the operations, maintenance, and repairs of the water distribution system, including repairing pipes, valves, and hydrants, as well as operating heavy equipment and assisting with customer complaints.
Responsibilities
- •Participate in the operations, maintenance, and repairs of the water distribution system
- •Repair water pipes, valves, hydrants, and other appurtenances
- •Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, track loaders, vac-trucks, and backhoes
- •Weld and fabricate parts and tools
- •Repair water mains
- •Assist in responding to and resolving customer complaints
- •Repair streets, driveways, and yards following installation operations
- •Assist in locating and inspecting new lines
Requirements
- •Participate in the operations, maintenance, and repairs of the water distribution system.
- •Repair water pipes, valves, hydrants, and other appurtenances.
- •Operate a variety of heavy equipment such as excavators, track loaders, vac-trucks, and backhoes.
- •Weld and fabricate parts and tools.
- •Repair water mains.
- •Assist with responding to and resolving customer complaints.
- •Repair streets, driveways, and yards following installation operations.
- •Assist in locating and inspecting new lines.
- •Positions are available for licensed, experienced operations and maintenance professionals.
- •Positions are available for inexperienced individuals looking for their first full-time job or those in the water sewer industry seeking to make a career change.
- •Work will require an irregular work schedule and overtime hours.
