Job Description
The Wastewater Treatment Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment at the Hull Wastewater Treatment Facility, ensuring compliance and high-quality effluent production while supporting facility upgrades and responding to emergencies in a safe and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor wastewater treatment facility equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of plant equipment.
- Respond to emergency situations and work in inclement weather as needed.
- Follow safety, operating, and emergency response procedures during facility operations.
Requirements
- Work is performed in a safe and professional manner by following established safety, operating, and emergency response procedures.
- Respond to any emergency situations as required.
- Work in inclement weather as needed.
- Schedule work Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with rotating weekends, and participate in the on-call operator rotation.
- Direct involvement with Facility Operations and general maintenance of equipment at the Hull Wastewater Treatment Facility.
