The Wastewater Project Manager oversees the planning, design, construction, and operation of wastewater and drinking water infrastructure projects, leading project teams and engaging with clients to deliver high-quality engineering solutions while ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee wastewater and drinking water projects from planning through operations.
Lead project teams, including mentoring staff and coordinating with technical and organizational leadership.
Engage with client stakeholders to understand their needs and support project delivery.
Evaluate, plan, design, and support construction of water infrastructure and systems.
Ensure project compliance with local and federal regulations.
Support marketing and proposal efforts for new projects.
Requirements
Strong experience in evaluating, planning, designing, and constructing drinking water and wastewater infrastructure and systems.
Ability to manage project teams from the planning, preliminary design, final design, construction phases, start-up, and operations of facilities or infrastructure.
Experience engaging with client stakeholders such as operators, superintendents, and public officials to understand and support their needs.
Familiarity with a broad range of issues related to master planning, treatment, distribution, and collection systems (preferred).
Ability to lead the delivery of multiple wastewater and drinking water projects.
Familiarity with local and federal regulations related to wastewater and drinking water projects.
Ability to support marketing and proposal efforts for wastewater and drinking water projects.
Proven experience in providing project management and engineering support on wastewater and drinking water projects.
Strong technical focus with the ability to evaluate, plan, design, and support construction of water infrastructure systems.
Experience working with mid- and senior-level technical staff and leadership across an organization.
Ability to direct and collaborate with a team of junior and mid-level staff.
Experience working with electrical, structural, CAD, operations, and SCADA teams to deliver project outcomes.
Willingness to participate in delivery system improvement programs and continuous learning opportunities.
Familiarity with local and federal regulations governing water infrastructure projects.
Ability to support proposal development and marketing efforts for water projects.
