The Wastewater Operator is responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and safety, while supporting the environment and water resources.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in the daily operations and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities
Respond to emergency events and alarm call-outs as scheduled
Work outdoors in the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment systems
Maintain reliable and dependable attendance, including standby duty and on-call responsibilities
Assist in ensuring treatment plant compliance with regulatory standards
Requirements
Participate in the daily operations and maintenance of 2 Wastewater Treatment Facilities as directed by the Project Manager and Chief Operator.
Availability to work on a schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, with flexibility and extended shifts to meet seasonal demands of the wastewater system.
Reliable and dependable attendance is an essential function of the position.
Availability for standby duty and the ability to be on-call, working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Respond to emergency events and alarm call-outs as scheduled and required.
On-call duties with incentives of 200 dollars for the week on rotation and a minimum of 2 hours paid for each call-out received.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent (implied, as industry licenses/certifications are supported and encouraged).
Ability to work outdoors and protect water resources.
Willingness to participate in the process of earning, upgrading, and maintaining industry licenses and certifications, with reimbursement provided by the company.
Participation in safety and compliance protocols as required by the treatment facilities and regulatory standards.
Participation in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s E-Verify program to confirm employment eligibility.
