Job Description

The Wastewater Operations Maintenance Technician participates in the daily operations and maintenance of a wastewater treatment facility, ensuring efficient plant performance and compliance, with opportunities for career advancement in the wastewater field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the daily operations and maintenance of the wastewater treatment facility
  • Perform routine inspections and monitor equipment to ensure proper functioning
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards

Requirements

  • Participate in the daily operations and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment Facility as directed by the Plant Manager and Lead O M Technician.
  • Have the ability to work outdoors protecting water resources.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent (implied, as industry licenses and certifications are supported and encouraged).
  • Be willing to pursue and maintain industry licenses and certifications, with employer reimbursement for earning, upgrading, and keeping these licenses and certifications.
  • Be able to work as part of a team and follow directions from supervisors.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety and compliance with operational procedures.
  • Be capable of working in a highly automated environment utilizing a 4-stage Bardenpho Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) Process with Side Stream Reactor (SSR) for Phosphorus removal.
  • Be willing to work in a physically active role that involves outdoor work and environmental conditions typical of wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Be able to support career advancement opportunities within the wastewater field.
