The Project Health Safety Specialist is responsible for providing guidance on safety compliance, conducting audits, assessing risks, implementing safety programs, and promoting a culture of health and safety at project sites within a leading engineering and environmental firm.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct task observations and compliance audits at project sites
Assess health and safety needs and risks
Implement and promote safety programs and policies
Develop and deliver site-specific safety training
Create systems, procedures, and tools to support safety program implementation
Drive and champion a culture of health and safety at project sites
Requirements
Possess a Health Safety or related applied science degree with several years of field experience.
Experience in providing guidance and assistance to internal clients regarding regulatory and company compliance requirements related to health and safety matters.
Ability to perform task observations and compliance auditing at project sites.
Skill in assessing health safety needs and risks at project sites.
Experience in driving the implementation of safety programs and policies.
Ability to develop and deliver site-specific safety training.
Experience in creating systems, procedures, and tools necessary to effectively implement corporate safety programs and policies at the project level.
Ability to work closely with the Senior Operations Management Safety Manager and Operations Management Health Safety Specialists.
